What is PeerTuPeer? −
PeerTuPeer (PTP) is Ghana's peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto and digital asset marketplace. You can buy or sell USDT, BTC, ETH, and our native PTP coin directly with other people using MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, or Bank Transfer — all protected by escrow.
Do I need to verify my identity (KYC) to start? −
No. You can register and browse offers without KYC. KYC (ID card + selfie) is only required to post your own sell offers or to lift withdrawal limits. Most buyers can start trading within minutes of signing up.
Is PeerTuPeer safe? −
Yes. Every trade uses escrow — meaning the seller's crypto or PTP is locked by the platform until the buyer confirms payment has been received. Neither party can disappear with funds. We also have a dispute resolution system and admin moderators.
What is PTP coin? −
1 PTP is always equal to 1 USD. It is the internal stable token of PeerTuPeer. When you deposit, your funds are converted to PTP at the current USD rate. When you withdraw, PTP is converted back at the live rate for your currency (GHS, etc.).

What gift cards can I sell on PeerTuPeer? −
You can sell Amazon USA gift cards, iTunes/Apple gift cards, Google Play gift cards, Steam gift cards, Visa virtual cards, and most popular US/UK denomination gift cards. Traders set their own rates and preferred card types in their offers.
How do I sell my gift card in Ghana? −
Create an account → Browse buy offers from verified traders who want your card type → Start the trade → Send your gift card code via the secure trade chat → Buyer verifies the card → Escrow releases payment to your PTP wallet → Withdraw to MTN MoMo or Bank. The whole process typically takes 5–30 minutes.
What is the best rate for Amazon gift cards in Ghana? −
Rates change daily and are set by individual traders competing for the best deals. Check our live rates page or browse the marketplace to see today's GHS rates for Amazon gift cards. PeerTuPeer typically offers better rates than WhatsApp groups because competition is transparent and open.
What happens if a buyer does not pay after I send my card? −
This cannot happen on PeerTuPeer. The escrow model means the buyer's payment is locked before you ever release the gift card code. If a dispute arises, you open a dispute from the trade chat and an admin will review and resolve it.

Deposits & Withdrawals

How do I deposit funds? −
Go to Wallet → Deposit → Enter amount → Choose your payment method (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or Bank). You'll receive a payment instruction. Once confirmed, PTP tokens are credited to your wallet instantly.
How long do withdrawals take? −
MoMo withdrawals are typically instant to a few minutes. Bank transfers can take 1–3 business days depending on your bank. Minimum withdrawal is 5 PTP ($5 equivalent).
What are the fees? −
Trading: A small platform fee applies per completed trade (typically 0.5–1%). Deposits: Free. Withdrawals: A small processing fee applies. All fees are shown before you confirm any transaction — no hidden charges.
Can I send PTP to another PeerTuPeer user? −
Yes! Use the Send PTP feature in your wallet. Enter the recipient's username or email and the amount. Internal transfers are instant and free.

Trades & Disputes

What is escrow and how does it work? −
Escrow is a neutral holding system. When you start a trade, PTP tokens are locked from the seller's wallet. They can only be released to the buyer or returned to the seller — never stolen. Think of it like a referee holding the ball until the game is confirmed fair.
What happens if there is a problem with my trade? −
Open a dispute from the trade chat screen. Both parties can submit evidence (screenshots, messages). A PeerTuPeer admin will review and make a final decision within 24–48 hours. The winner receives the escrowed funds.
Can I cancel a trade? −
Trades can be cancelled by mutual agreement before payment is marked. Once a buyer marks "Paid", the trade enters dispute territory if the seller tries to cancel. Repeated unfair cancellations may result in account restrictions.
How do I know if a trader is trustworthy? −
Each trader profile shows completed trades, success rate, and verification badge (KYC). Look for traders with 10+ trades and high completion rates. Always check reviews before trading large amounts.

Account & Security

How do I set or change my transaction PIN? −
Go to your profile → Security → Set PIN. Your 4-digit PIN is required to confirm withdrawals and internal transfers. It adds an extra layer of security beyond your login password.
I forgot my PIN. What do I do? −
Go to profile → Security → Reset PIN. You'll receive an email verification code to reset it. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.
Can I have multiple accounts? −
No. PeerTuPeer strictly allows one account per person. Multiple accounts are detected and may result in permanent bans and fund confiscation per our Terms of Service.
